City is nestled in the foothills of the Sierra mountains on Highway
49 an hour west of Lake Tahoe and an hour east of Sacramento,
a beautiful setting for a retreat environment while studying.

Directions to the School
From Sacramento International Airport: Nevada City is 1 1/2 hours
drive from the Sacramento airport.
Take Highway 80 East to Auburn.
In Auburn turn onto Highway 49 to Grass Valley/Nevada City.
Pass Grass Valley and enter Nevada City on the Broad St. exit.
We are halfway up Broad St on the right side across from City
Hall and Cirino's at
310 ½ Broad ST, Nevada City, CA 95959.
From Reno Airport:
Nevada City is 1 1/2 hours from the Reno airport.
Take Highway 80 West towards Sacramento.
After about 20-25 miles, turn onto Highway 20 towards Nevada City/Grass
Valley,
Turn right on Hwy 49 towards Downieville and soon enter Nevada
City by turning left on the Broad St. exit.
We are halfway down Broad St on the left side across from City
Hall and Cirino's at
310 ½ Broad ST, Nevada City, CA 95959.
As the
area was known as "The Mother Lode", the town has restored
the original buildings from early Gold Rush days. Today, you can
still tour in a horse and carriage along gas-lit street lamps,
rekindling memories of a simpler time.
A source
of local pride is the magnificent "Wild and Scenic"
Yuba River canyon, boasting sandy beaches, water falls, sculptural
rock formations, and olympic-sized swimming holes. The healing
waters of the pristine river wash away one's
worries and tensions without fail. Nevada City's beauty and accessibility
to the major cultural centers of San Francisco, Sacramento and
