This 7 Day training
is for both the beginner to Thai massage and the experienced Thai
practitioner. I will be teaching a blend of both Northern and
Southern style techniques.
By the end of the training
you will have learned techniques from all four positions of Thai
massage: supine, side lying, prone and seated positions.
You will learn the
ten main sen (energy) lines, acupressure points, contraindications,
as well as soft tissue and deep tissue approaches to therapeutic
and intuitive work. I always give alot of attention to detail
and focus on proper body alignment of the practitioner throughout
my trainings, bringing maximum benefit to both the practitioner
and the client.
You will receive a
certificate for 40 hours of training. Each day begins and ends
with yoga and meditation practice to increase body awareness and
to bring one into a place of mindfulness. When Thai massage is
done from a meditative state it can create an environment for
profound healing and expansion of consciousness for both the giver
and the receiver. Each day will begin at 8:00 am until about 2:30
pm, leaving plenty of time for relaxation.
After the 7 days training
in Thai Massage there will be a one-day training in Traditional
Balinese massage and spa treatments taught by a Balinese teacher
Made Nasib, owner of the Beji Ayu Spa in Ubud.
He will teach us on
location at the spa a variety of Balinese massage techniques as
well as specialized spa treatments authentic to Bali such as Traditional
Lulur massage followed by a flower petal herbal bath.
We will have ample
time to learn first hand also by receiving these treatments in
the decadence of luxury spas on the island during our stay (ahhh,
my very favourite part of learning). This training will provide
a beautiful blend of techniques in the ideal tranquil setting
for studying a healing art...magical Bali.
